Collection: Paul Gbolade Omidiran

Paul Gbolade Omidiran is a visual artist, gallery owmer, husband, and father.

He was born in Lagos, in 1972.

Paul has his art training in the academic tradition of the Ife Art School at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University where he got his Bachelor of Arts (lIons) and a Master of Fine Arts Degrees in 1995 and 2000, respectively.

An accomplished artist, Gbolade has to his credit sixteen solos and several group art exhibitions spread across different countries of the world (U.S.A. London, Germany. Dubai, Kenya and Nigeria.)

In 2000, Gbolude Omidiran established a private art studio as a full time studio artist. There he is able to explore and expand his creative abilities. Over the years, he has trained well over 100 students in his private studio.

In 2014, he opened Omidiran Gallery, the first art gallery of international standards in Ile-Ife. The gallery provides opportunities for artists and students to showcase their talents and also for research purposes.

Paul Omidiran has been privileged to hold degrees, fellowships and memberships in some art institutions like the Obalemi Awolowo Universily, Ile-lle; The Art Institute of Chicago, Burnsville Performing Art Centre; Lakeville Art Festival; Edina Fall Art Festival; Artomi International, Brooklyn Museum (U.S.A): Stellwerk: Zollverein, Germany: Red Gate international, China; and Society of Nigerian Artists, among others.
