Appiah Ntiaw is a contemporary African paintings artist in his mid-thirties, born in 1979 at Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa.

Appiah's African artworks have been exhibited in Europe and various places in West Africa, including Ghana's capital city of Accra's National Museum and the castles of Cape Coast and Elmina.

Appiah Ntiaw has formal education merits in his craft of African art from Ghanatta College of Art and Design in Accra, Ghana's capital city, where his focus was on Painting and Graphic Design. His accreditation program spanned the time of three years.

Graduating in 2002, Appiah Ntiaw was later qualified to participate in the Ghana Association of Visual Artists annual art competition. Around the same time, Appiah and his colleague established an African art paintings gallery in Cape Coast, Ghana that they named "Step Beyond." Both emerging and established African artists displayed their works there, making it a central hub for the Cape Coast region for authentic, quality African paintings of all kinds.

Appiah Ntiaw has been a volunteer at African Footprint International. He also donates some of his financial resources to New Life Orphanage, based in Cape Coast, Ghana, with the profits acquired by his work as an African artist.

Currently, Appiah's development in African paintings and design took him to Denmark, Western Europe where he continues to paint and also create one of a kind women's leather handbags through the Juel Sandberg brand, which has proved to be a prosperous endeavor.

Close up of My Twins by African paintings Ghanaian artist, Appiah NtiawAppiah Ntiaw's Black African art paintings style does not have a consistent permanence or technique. This is because Appiah feels he should be able to create anything at anytime through any means. And this was developed not through his own stubborn idea, but through the encouragement of his teacher in College. Discovering his ability, Appiah made a pact with this former art teacher, Ofei Dako, "that he will not bound nor imprison himself" in any particular way when it comes to his contemporary African paintings or any other medium of his artwork.

Here at True African Art.com, we have been favored to exchange several conversations with Appiah, getting to know who is behind the hip fashion that is part of this man's character. What we have found is that when one reaches out to this African paintings artist in sincerity, he reveals a depth of compassion and wisdom to his responsible character. He has clearly shown an understanding for the purpose of his art and can maturely identify it as his message of hope and inspiration for the human race. These beliefs that are engraved so deeply in Appiah's sense of being allow him to extend his talents and skills as an artist to discover a seemingly endless avenue of topics and techniques. Given this perspicuity and the vast experiences Appiah Ntiaw has undertaken at such a young age, he is without a doubt one of Ghana's most premier African artists.
