About Ras T

Ras T is a full time artist since 2002, working where he was born and raised in Bagmoyo, Tanzania, near Zanzibar.

He says he learned his painting skill from his grandmother. He further extended his skills by attending Bagmoyo Sculpture School.

Before working as a full time artist, Ras T had a shop on Kwenda Beach in Zanzibar.

In between sales, one can find Ras T teaching art to his community and tourists. Beyond his home town, Ras T has exhibited in Germany and also took painting workshops there in Freidburg.
