VIDEO INTERVIEW with
SARAH SHIUNDU below -
Sarah Shiundu is an African painting artist and makes her contemporary Maasai figures with a combination of banana leaves, feathers, and authentic Maasai shukas. These art materials give her African paintings a unique texture and a 3-D stand out type of feature.
Sarah Shiundu is proud to be an African woman artist and says that she "realized that men were dominating the art world here in Africa. And I said to myself, 'I am going to stand on the platform with them!' I have found equality through it and much motivation from the feedback of visitors to True African Art .com. When people appreciate your African artwork, it really is a big motivation. I am inspired!"
Seeing Sarah Shiundu's African paintings art for the first time makes one see the African woman in a beautiful light. In animated, happy stances, Sarah's simple message of joy and comradeship speaks to the best parts of us all...
